The weird smell in laundry could be due to a variety of reasons, such as using too much detergent, not using enough detergent, or using a detergent that is not effectively removing odors. Additionally, the smell could be caused by bacteria or mildew that has built up in the washing machine or on the laundry itself. This smell may not be musty because it is not necessarily caused by mold or mildew, but rather by other factors such as detergent residue or bacterial growth. Regular cleaning of the washing machine and using the appropriate amount of detergent can help eliminate the weird smell in laundry. **
